Mississippi State skipper John Cohen shares his thoughts on being selected as the No. 2 seed in the Lafayette Regional just moments after it was announced.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.

The rebelbear sandsharks open against Jacksonville State!!! Bet the Gamecock fans will wear their ” we beat Ole Miss ” tshirts. That football game ranks #1 in all-time comebacks….down 31-3…then came back to beat the rebelbears…Go Cocks!!

  • Roy Munsun

When they get bounced from their regional, I’m sure the rebelbear sandshark reaction will be the same as always…bad calls from the game officials.

  • Roy Munsun

After State whipped em in hoops, the sands sharks blamed the referees. When Arkansas put their baseball team out, they blamed the 3rd base umpire. When they get probation, they’ll blame State…it’s always someone else’s fault.

And after state swept that series in baseball… wait, the mastitis mongrels choked. And you can’t spell CHOkE without COHEn…. K?

  • Roy Munsun

When Bama beat them by 40, it was because Saban had a spy in the coaches box. They just can’t take a loss.

“We believe” lol. At least we aren’t delusional…

  • Roy Munsun

Old Myth has NEVER lost a game, that they weren’t cheated out of. It’s really sad.

  • Roy Munsun

Johnny Vaught was so scared of Bear Bryant, that Old Myth went 11 straight seasons without playing Alabama. It was pathetic…just like their 3 FAKE National Championship banners…LMAO

  • Roy Munsun

Would love for Dawgs to have the chance to oust the gay bears in the super regional, but don’t think Biano’s bunch will make it.

    • a name

Don’t think the University of Maine is even playing…

  • Roy Munsun

Look for this to be year #15 that the rebel gay bears NOT to make Omaha!!!

  • Roy Munsun

Bianco’s bunch will likely pull a Bo Wallace and drop the ball in their regional.

  • Roy Munsun

Remember OMAHA means Ole Miss at home again!

  • Roy Munsun

If the rebelbears do get beat, look for the excuses to pour like a Bianco choking avalanche.

    • a name

      Can’t spell CHOkE without COHEn.

  • TrueMaroon5

Give it a rest, Roy. My prediction is that UM actually goes to Omaha this time.

  • Roy Munsun

Yeah! True, I think they have a good chance, too! Just razzing!! I wish we were a little more experienced, but we have holes, after losing 9 players to MLB.

  • Roy Munsun

Well now that I’ve looked at the regional brackets, the only way Old Myth can get to the super-regional is to beat State…That ain’t happening. The Ole Miss rebel black bear sand sharks have run outta luck. No Omaha for you.

    • TheGiantRebel

Actually, the only way Ole Miss can get to a Super Regional is to win the Oxford Regional. Has nothing to do with State.

  • Roy Munsun

Actually I was referring to my earlier post that I thought the rebelbears had a chance to get to Omaha and State will have something to do with that.

    • TheGiantRebel

Both teams would have to win their regionals and that’s going to be a tough order for both schools…

  • Roy Munsun

Having so many players in MLB is testament to the long standing tradition of superior baseball at State. It’s awesome!!!

  • Roy Munsun

So, Truemaroon, you are predicting that Old Pudd will beat State in the Super Regional? And you’re true maroon? That’s strange.

  • Roy Munsun

Mullen’s recruiting just keeps gaining momentum, with the #1 player leaning heavily to commit to the Dogs. Great job!

  • Roy Munsun

WTVA sports quote from last night…”The Ole Miss hitters can’t wait to get a hold of those Cocks!!” It shouldn’t be a surprise, it’s Ole Miss for goodness sake’s. Oh Snap!
