Mississippi State will seek medical redshirts from the NCAA for its two Canadian born players for this past season.

Sophomores Kyle Hann and Jacob Robson were limited to 30 combined games due to arm injuries with both being out of action since March. Both players are expected back on the Bulldogs roster in the fall.

Hann, a utility infielder from Oakville, Ont., appeared in a dozen games this season including four starts. He hit .100 going 1-for-10 at the plate with a double and one run batted in. His last appearance came on March 15 at Georgia.

Robson, an outfielder from Windsor, Ont., played in 18 outings and made four starts. He batted .067 going 1-for-16 and was 4-of-5 on stolen base attempts. Robson last plate appearance came on March 23 against Vanderbilt.

If medical redshirts are granted it would give both players three years of eligibility remaining.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
