After a deep run in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament last season, Mississippi State will begin its 2014-15 campaign in the Preseason NIT.

Although the official bracket will not be released until next month, the Bulldogs are guaranteed three games from Nov. 14-23.

Joining MSU in the 16-team tournament will be Albany, Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Colorado, Eastern Kentucky, Jackson State, Mercer, North Dakota, Penn State, Rider, Seton Hall, St. Francis Brooklyn, Towson, West Virginia and Western Kentucky.

The Bulldogs went 3-1 in their only appearance in the Preseason NIT during the 2002-03 season. State defeated South Alabama and Tulsa before bowing out with a loss to Penn State.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
