M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field

I’ve arrived for what I hope to be the final time in the auxiliary press box (aka folding table). I wish I had lots of kind things to say about this regional site but all I’ve got is the food is good and they have beer in the postgame interview room. But enough about the experience off the field and more about what’s taking place on it. It’s an elimination game tonight with the winner moving on to a super regional. Tonight’s game will be televised on ESPN3.com once again. Mississippi State is wearing maroon hats, maroon “Mississippi State” jerseys and white pants and will be the home team. It’s raining as the Bulldogs are taking BP. The Ragin’ Cajuns are clad in red hats, red jerseys and white pants.

There was a lightning strike in the area at 5:36 p.m. so we are in a delay prior to first pitch. First pitch has been pushed back one minute to 6:06 p.m.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.

Well that’s it for State. Tough to get to Omaha back to back, especially losing 9 to MLB. Kinda hope rebelbears make it after 42 years…long time, indeed. Ah, hell..Go Cajuns.
