Mississippi State began its summer on a high note Wednesday with the addition of 2016 four-star defensive tackle Briston Guidry.
The 6-foot-2, 265-pounder from Archbishop Rummel (La.) High School pledged his services to the Bulldogs over offers from Louisville, Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Tennessee.
Guidry is considered the nation’s No. 23 defensive tackle and 240th overall prospect in the country for the 2016 class. He joins Orlando, Fla., linebacker Jonathan Pollack in MSU’s class for 2016.
As a sophomore last season, Guidry recorded 76 tackles and 20.5 tackles for loss helping the Raiders claim their second straight state championship.
