Mississippi State landed its fifth football commitment of the week when Signal Mountain, (Tenn.) offensive lineman Harrison Moon made the call Friday morning.

The three-star tackle is the No. 22 prospect in Tennessee and as listed as the nation’s 23rd tight end prospect by 247Sports.com.

Moon chose the Bulldogs over offers from UT-Chattanooga, Georgia Tech and South Florida. He caught five passes for 100 yards last season helping the Eagles to an 8-4 record and into the second round of the Class 4A state playoffs.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder is MSU’s 17th commitment for 2015.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
