It has been another big week for Jacob Lindgren.
Not only did the former Mississippi State relief pitcher sign a $1.1 million contract with the New York Yankees, but was also selected as a first team All-American by Perfect Game.
The honor was Lindgren’s third All-American selection also earned the recognition from Baseball America and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Lindgren went 6-1 with three saves and a team-low 0.81 earned run average this past season with 100 strikeouts. He led the nation averaging 16.3 strikeouts per nine innings.
The Bay St. Louis native concluded his collegiate career with a 12-6 record, 2,64 ERA and 189 strikeouts.
