Mississippi State great Will Clark will be inducted in the second class of the Omaha College Baseball Hall of Fame.

Clark led the Diamond Dogs to the 1985 College World Series where he went 7-for-15 with a double, triple, two home runs, five runs batted in and scored six times. The two-time All-American, Golden Spikes Award winner and Olympic silver medalist was the second overall pick in the 1985 MLB Draft.

Clark lettered at MSU from 1983-85 prior to 14 years in the big leagues where he was a six-time All-Star.

Joining Clark in the 2014 class will be Dustin Ackley, Steve Arlin and Mark Kotsay. The group will be honored at TD Ameritrade Park on July 3 on ESPN at 7:30 p.m.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
