No. 14 Mississippi State will kickoff its Oct. 4 home date with sixth-ranked Texas A&M at 11 a.m. on ESPN.

The Bulldogs (4-0, 1-0) are coming off a 34-29 win at LSU over the weekend and are off this week.

Texas A&M (4-0, 1-0) defeated SMU 58-6 on the road Saturday and faces Arkansas this weekend.

The Aggies lead the overall series against MSU 4-3 and have won two straight. Texas A&M won a shootout 51-41 last season in College Station and claimed the only meeting in Starkville 38-13 in 2012.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
