The awards continue to roll in for Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott.

Prescott was named the Davey O’Brien Quarterback of the Week after totaling 373 yards and three touchdowns in the Bulldogs 34-29 win at LSU over the weekend.

The junior signal caller completed 15 of 24 passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns and added another 105 yards and a score rushing. Prescott leads all quarterbacks nationally with three straight 100-yard rushing games and is averaging 94.5 yards on the ground.

It was the third time this season he has had more than 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing in the same game.

Marcus Mariota (Oregon), Nick Marshall (Auburn), Blake Sims (Alabama) and Anu Soloman (Arizona) were selected as honorable mentions for this week’s award.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
