ESPN’s College GameDay crew will be in Starkville this week.

For the second straight week, ESPN’s College GameDay will stay within the borders of Mississippi.

ESPN announced its would be bringing its live college football pregame to Starkville for the Auburn-Mississippi State matchup on Saturday. Both teams will likely be ranked in the top 10 and potentially the top five when polls are released later today.

Kickoff time and television coverage have not been announced for Auburn-MSU yet.

It will mark the first time GameDay has made an appearance on the Bulldogs campus. The show is hosted by Chris Fowler along with analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard. David Pollack and Samantha Ponder are also contributors to the program that has been a staple on ESPN since 1987.

College GameDay airs from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on ESPNU and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on ESPN. It aired from Oxford for the Alabama-Ole Miss game this past week.

The Bulldogs hosted the SEC Nation crew from the SEC Network prior to its game against Texas A&M this past week.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
