No. 3 Mississippi State will kickoff its game against No. 2 Auburn Saturday at 2:30 p.m. the SEC office announced.

The Bulldogs are tied with rival Ole Miss for third in the latest Associated Press poll. It is the highest rankings for MSU in school history.

The Auburn-MSU game will have the added bonus of ESPN’s College GameDay on campus for the first time in Starkville.

Auburn leads the series 61-24-2 overall and 12-5-1 in Starkville. The Tigers won 24-20 last year in Auburn.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
