Mississippi State flipped the commitment of Aliceville, Ala., three-star defensive end Anfernee Mullins just before kickoff of Saturday’s game. The 6-foot-4, 232-pounder had been committed to South Alabama since July.

Mullins was in attendance for the Bulldogs game against Texas A&M and also owns offers from Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Southern Miss, Troy, UAB and Western Kentucky. He is the 29th member of the 2015 class, which ranks 11th nationally by 247Sports.com.

Mullins has made 40 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 12 sacks and forced and recovered a fumble for the 7-0 Yellow Jackets. He is rated the No. 44 defensive end in the nation and is the 28th best prospect in Alabama according to the 247Sports.com composite rankings.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
