Another award for Prescott

Dak Prescott

For the second time in as many games, Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott was named the Davey O’Brien Quarterback of the Week, becoming the first two-time honoree in 2014.

Prescott completed 20 of 26 passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns while also adding 23 carries for 77 yards and three more scores. He even hauled in an 11-yard pass as well in the Bulldogs 48-31 win over Texas A&M.

The junior from Haughton, La., ranks ninth in the nation in total offense (335.6 ypg), fourth in points responsible for (120) and sixth in passing efficiency (180.7).

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
