Top-ranked Mississippi State will appear on CBS for a second consecutive game for its Oct. 25 battle at Kentucky. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 CT.

The Bulldogs, who are rated No. 1 in both the Associated Press and Amway Coaches Poll, will enjoy a bye week prior to its trip to Lexington. Kentucky (5-1, 2-1) travels to LSU on Saturday.

Following Mississippi State’s 38-23 win over Auburn on CBS last weekend, the Bulldogs improved to 4-8 all-time on the network.

Although MSU has won five straight over the Wildcats, UK leads the overall series 21-20 including a 13-8 mark in Lexington. The Bulldogs won 28-22 in Starkville last season.

The SEC Network pregame show ‘SEC Nation’ will also be live from Commonwealth Stadium for that game. It will be State’s second appearance on the show in the last three games.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
