Mississippi State’s momentum continues with the addition of 2016 four-star running back Tre Turner.

The 5-foot-10, 193-pounder from Holy Cross in New Orleans committed to the Bulldogs late Tuesday evening over offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Houston, Louisiana-Lafayette, Miami, Missouri, Ole Miss, SMU, Southern Miss and Tulane.

Turner has rushed for 509 yards and five touchdowns so far this season. He is rated the nation’s No. 13 running back and the 11th best prospect in Louisiana by 247Sports.com.

Turner is also an outfield baseball prospect as well.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
