Bessemer, Ala., three-star guard/ center Darryl Williams became the 31st commitment in Mississippi State’s 2015 class late Thursday night.

The 6-foot-4, 304-pounder chose the Bulldogs over offers from Auburn, Cincinnati, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, South Alabama, Southern Miss and UAB.

Williams is ranked as the nation’s No. 7 center and the 15th best prospect in Alabama by 247Sports.com composite. He has helped lead Bessemer City to a 4-4 record this season.

MSU currently has the No. 13 class in the country for 2015.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
