Former Mississippi State standout Hunter Renfroe has been selected to play in Saturday’s Arizona League Fall Stars Game.

Renfroe is an outfielder in the San Diego Padres farm system and is currently playing for the Surprise Saguaros where through 14 games he is batting .208 with three doubles, a triple, one home run and four runs batted in.

Renfroe will be a member of the West All-Star team in the Fall Star Game, which will be televised on the MLB Network at 7:08 p.m.

The former 2013 first round draft pick spent this past season between the Lake Elsinore Storm (Class A Advanced) and the San Antonio Missions (Double-A) where he combined to hit .267 with 21 homers, 75 RBI and stole 11 bases.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
