Live from Bryant-Denny Stadium

Bryant-Denny Stadium

Bryant-Denny Stadium

I’ve arrived at Bryant-Denny Stadium for what will be the chilliest game so far. It’s probably the biggest game in Mississippi State’s history and also the marquee match-up so far this season in college football. ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ was packing up when I arrived at the stadium and today’s game will be televised on CBS. The Bulldogs were going to bus over from Starkville today.

I’ll be here for the duration so stay tuned for updates.

Both teams have arrived at the stadium. A few of the specialists have came out to start their pregame warm-ups.

Like he has for the last three games, Jameon Lewis is out early running routes. Doesn’t look gimpy at all from his right leg injury. He also went through team warm-ups as well.

Saw Westin Graves bust it trying to kick a 47-yard field goal during pregame. Devon Bell was also attempting a few field goals as well.

Looked down at the crowd and see a grown man wearing an Alabama cape.

The Crimson Tide will wear their traditional crimson helmets and jerseys with white pants.

MSU will wear its matte maroon helmets with white facemasks and white uniforms.

Bama wins the toss and will receive.

T.J. Yeldon enters the game for Alabama.

Bama goes 3-and-out on the opening drive.

Fred Ross fields the opening punt.

Dak Prescott completes the first play from scrimmage to Lewis for a 6-yard gain.

State moves the chains twice before punting on its opening drive.

Bulldogs will start their next drive at their own 5-yard line.

Josh Robinson tackled for a 5-yard loss in the end zone for a safety by JK Scott, 2-0 UA 7:49 1st

Adam Griffith with a 36-yard field goal, 5-0 UA 2:06 1st

State’s next drive nets three yards and Bell shanks a punt. Bama takes over at the MSU 47.

Prescott picked off by Nick Perry at the UA 22-yard line.

Blake Sims with a 4-yard touchdown pass to Amar Cooper. Griffith PAT, 12-0 UA 7:45 2nd

Ben Beckwith flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Sims hits Cooper on a 50-yard pass down to the 1-yard line. Derrick Henry fumbles on the next play and it’s recovered by the Bulldogs. The play is reviewed and called a touchdown for the Tide. Griffith PAT, 19-0 UA 5:32 2nd

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
