Bulldogs slip to No. 4 in both polls

Mississippi State AlabamaMississippi State fell to No. 4 in both the Associated Press and Amway Coaches’ Poll this week.

The Bulldogs had held the top ranking for the previous five weeks, their first time at No. 1 in school history.

MSU now trails Florida State, Alabama and Oregon respectively in the polls. The Bulldogs received 1,289 points in the AP Poll and 1,296 in the Coaches’ Poll.

State still sits No. 1 in the College Football Playoff Poll. The updated rankings will be released Tuesday evening.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
