I’ve arrived courtside for tonight’s in-state match-up between Mississippi State and Mississippi Valley State. The crowd is once again pretty sparse, even Valley didn’t bring many fans over. There were actually more Western Carolina fans here than what Valley has currently. You can stream this game online through SEC Network +. The Delta Devils warm-ups say “Turn Up” on the front and back.

My internet seems to be working better this week so I’ll be updating throughout.

23- Travis Daniels, G, 6-8, 219, Jr.

No Craig Sword tonight. He’s wearing glasses on the bench.

Daniels hits a 3-pointer for the first points of the game.

Thomas drains two shots from the perimeter as well.

The two teams combined to make the first eight shots of the game. State is still 5-of-5.

Thomas is fouled…um, below the belt on a 3-point shot. Officials reviewed the play and called a flagrant foul on Washington.

Ware misses State’s first field goal but Johnson is there to clean it up.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
