Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott has been named a semifinalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year award.
Prescott was one of 15 semifinalists from 14 different programs to make the cut and is among eight quarterbacks on the list. Five finalists will be selected on Dec. 3 and the award will be presented on Dec. 11 on ESPN’s SportsCenter.
The 6-foot-2, 235-pound junior leads the nation with four 100-yard rushing/ 200-yard passing games this season and has accounted for 32 touchdowns (20 passing, 11 rushing, one receiving). Prescott has completed 60.3 percent of his passes for 2,521 yards while also adding 861 rushing yards.
