Mississippi State senior safety Justin Cox has been suspended indefinitely by coach Dan Mullen following an off-campus incident early Friday morning.
According to the Starkville Daily News, Cox was arrested for suspicion of domestic violence and burglary of a dwelling.
The West Point native has started eight games for the Bulldogs this season making 21 tackles, 0.5 tackle for loss, broke up four passes and had a game-sealing interception against Auburn.
Cox had appeared in 22 career games in two years at MSU after transferring in from East Mississippi Community College. Sophomores Deontay Evans and Kivon Coman are listed as Cox’s back-ups at safety.
