I’ve got all my basketball stories written now and am now getting ready for tonight’s football game. My man Kedrick Storey should be joining me in the press box shortly. Vanderbilt is already on the field getting loose as the Ole Miss-Arkansas is playing on the MooTubes. The Bulldogs have just arrived and are walking the field right now as well. Remember that tonight’s game is being televised on the SEC Network. With all the bad weather expected to roll into the area later, hopefully this game ends in a timely manner so folks can get home safely and also so I can meet deadline.

I’ll be updating throughout the evening so stay tuned.

Vanderbilt will wear black helmets, white jerseys and gold pants.

MSU will honor 18 seniors before the game – OG Ben Beckwith, OT Blaine Clausell, C Dillon Day, DT Kaleb Eulls, RB Nick Griffin, DL John Harris, TE Brandon Hill, LB Christian Holmes, S Jay Hughes, TE Malcolm Johnson, WR Robert Johnson, DT P.J. Jones, WR Jameon Lewis, CB Jamerson Love, OL Archie Muniz, DE Preston Smith, DL Curtis Virges and LB Matt Wells.

Eulls, Jones, Virges, Smith, Wells, Holmes, Hughes, Love are expected to start on defense while Clausell, Beckwith, Day, Muniz, M. Johnson, R. Johnson, Lewis and Griffin will get the nod on offense.

Kendrick Market will start at safety in place of Justin Cox, who was arrested early Friday morning and suspended indefinitely.

Today’s honorary captain is Fred Smoot. But Smoot’s flight was cancelled and couldn’t make it. Surely there’s another former player on campus today they could’ve found to replace him.

Vanderbilt didn’t even bother to bring their band along tonight.

Bulldogs will wear their glossy maroon helmets with white facemasks, 90’s throwback jerseys and white pants.
