For the second straight week, Mississippi State saw one of its talented signing class named as the SEC Freshman of the Week.
Victoria Vivians claimed the honor this week after averaging 21 points and 8.5 rebounds in the semifinals and championship game of the Preseason WNIT.
“It’s a great accomplishment, and one I hope to be able to get many more times,” Vivans said in a release. “My teammates played a big role in me getting this honor. Without them it wouldn’t have been possible.”
Vivians was named the tournament MVP.
The Carthage native leads the Bulldogs with 19.3 points and nine 3-pointers during their 4-0 start.
MSU entered the AP Poll at No. 25 this week. It is the first time the Bulldogs have been ranked since Nov. 23, 2009.
