No. 25 Mississippi State hits the road for the first time Saturday when it ventures to New Orleans to face the Privateers in a 2 p.m. tip at Lakefront Arena.
The game will be broadcast either on WMXU-FM 106.1 or online only on HailStatePLUS depending on the outcome of Friday’s MSU men’s basketball game against St. Louis.

Vic Schaefer’s squad enters the contest 5-0 following an 80-46 win against ULM Tuesday night in the Dawgs’ first game as a ranked squad.
Junior Sherise Williams led the way with 15 points, while Blair Schaefer and Ketara Chapel added 11 and 10, respectively.
After notching just three double-figure scoring games last season, Chapel already has four games in double digits this year. Her 12.0 average is third on the squad behind freshmen Victoria Vivians and Morgan William, but her 69.4 field goal percentage is third in the SEC and ninth in the NCAA Division I ranks.
Vivians and William enter the weekend the nation’s top-scoring freshman duo. Vivians paces the Bulldogs with a 16.4 average, while William rates right behind at 14.8 per game.
William also stands fourth in the SEC in both assists (4.8 apg) and steals (3.0 spg).
Saturday’s meeting will be the 16th against New Orleans. MSU is 12-3 all-time in the series and claimed its 11th-straight victory with last season’s 111-38 win in Starkville.
The Bulldogs, who rank third in the SEC and in the Top 20 nationally at 86.4 ppg, are 4-1 against the Privateers in New Orleans.
This year’s UNO squad returns home 0-2 following a 65-51 setback at Jacksonville State seven days ago.
Halie Matthews leads the way with 8.5 ppg. Raven Coleman added eight points and nine boards against JSU, her first action of the season.
