Walk-on kicker Evan Sobiesk will not return to the Mississippi State football team.

Sobiesk will instead turn his focus towards attending dental school.

The 5-foot-8, 188-pounder converted 12-of-14 field goes as a sophomore this past fall. Sobiesk also set the single season school record with 56 extra points and led the team with 92 points in 2014.

Sobiesk was 15-of-20 on field goals for his career.

The Bulldogs have rising senior Devon Bell and sophomores Westin Graves and Logan Cook returning to compete at placekicker this spring.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
