Four Mississippi State players will suit up for the South in the Senior Bowl Saturday at 3 p.m. in Mobile, Ala., on the NFL Network.

Tackle Blaine Clausell and center Dillon Day will represent the Bulldogs on the offensive line while end Preston Smith and tackle Kaleb Eulls will do battle in the defensive trenches.

All four players will wear the same numerals as they did at MSU.

Clausell (6-6, 315) played in 49 games for the Bulldogs and made 38 starts at left tackle. He also played in the Medal of Honor Bowl earlier this month.

Day (6-4, 305) appeared in 51 games and drew 46 starts. He played in the East-West Shrine Game last weekend.

Smith (6-5, 270) saw action in 47 career games and started 24. He finished with 134 tackles, 27 stops for loss, 16 sacks, five forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and two interceptions – one of which he returned for a touchdown.

Eulls (6-3, 305) started all 52 games of his career. He recorded 118 tackles, 8.5 for loss, four sacks and recovered a fumble.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
