For the second straight week and fourth time this season, Mississippi State’s Victoria Vivians was selected as the SEC’s Freshman of the Week.

Vivians scored 14 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had a steal and a block in the Bulldogs 57-55 road win at Alabama on Sunday. She scored the game-winning basket in that contest.

The Carthage native continues to lead MSU as well as the league’s freshmen averaging 14.9 points per game.

MSU climbed three spots up to No. 11 in this week’s Associated Press poll.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
