Inclement weather has once again forced Mississippi State to change its plans on the diamond.

The 15th-ranked Bulldogs have bumped up the first pitch of Friday’s series opener against San Diego to 4 p.m. The game was originally scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.

It will be MSU’s first three-game weekend series of the season having played three four-game round robin weekends to start the year.

Junior right-hander Preston Brown is scheduled to start the game on the mound for the Diamond Dogs.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
