Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott was attacked while attending a concert in Panama City, Fla., during spring break.
Prescott, along with teammates Damian Williams and Torrey Dale, were attacked by a group of men. Prescott received lacerations to his face, arms and back during the scuffle but did not go to the hospital.
Williams confirmed the attack on his Twitter stating “We got jumped for no reason, It’s sad we can’t go anywhere without being attacked by people”.
No arrests were made and no charges will be filed according to a team spokesman. All three players were on their way back to Starkville Monday night.
Prescott tweeted Monday evening “Thanks for all the Concerns & Prayers! I’m okay and ready to get back to Starkville. Ignorance happens! Be safe on Spring Break!”.
Spring football practice begins on March 18.
