Former Mississippi State and Aberdeen standout Jamerson Love was arrested Thursday evening for simple domestic violence.
The Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call at 79 Inverness Road and discovered Love with his head inside the window of Destini Jones‘ vehicle.
Marks were found on Love and Jones and both were arrested and booked in the Oktibbeha County Jail. Both were released on $500 bail.
Love was a two-year starter at cornerback for the Bulldogs appearing in 49 games and making 25 starts. He finished his career with 121 tackles, seven for loss, 20 pass break-ups, a half-sack and four interceptions including one for a touchdown.
Love participated in the Medal of Honor Bowl and MSU’s on-campus pro day in preparation for the NFL Draft later this month. He is rated the No. 78 cornerback prospect by CBS Sports.
Love is the second former Bulldog to be arrested this month after former defensive tackle Quay Evans was picked up on April 4 in Starkville on a warrant for a traffic ticket.
