Mississippi State’s Victoria Vivians will have a chance to represent her country as a participant in the 2015 USA Basketball Pan American Games and World University Games team trials.

Vivians is one of 54 players invited to the trials at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., from May 14-17. A total of 12 players will be selected to make each squad and will be announced on the final day of tryouts.

The World University Games are held July 4-13 in South Korea while While the Pan American Games will be played July 16-20 in Toronto.

Vivians led all SEC freshmen last season averaging 14.9 points per game and was a second team All-SEC and Gillom Trophy selection.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
