Former Mississippi State forward Oliver Black has landed at Little Rock.

The Trojans announced the addition of the 6-foot-9, 225-pounder from Jackson on Tuesday. Black made his departure from the Bulldogs last month. He will have to sit out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules but will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Black appeared in 31 games last season for former MSU coach Rick Ray including four starts. He averaged 1.8 points and 2.4 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game.

At Little Rock, Black reunites with former State assistant coach Wes Flanigan. The Bulldogs used his vacated scholarship to add Louisiana Tech transfer Xavian Stapleton over the weekend.

Fellow Mississippi State transfer Maurice Dunlap signed with Jones County Junior College in May.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
