Mississippi State forward Fallou Ndoye had surgery on July 29 to repair a torn tendon in his right wrist and will be out until October.

The 6-foot-11, 222-pounder from Senegal sustained the injury on July 24 but when an x-ray did not reveal any damage he continued to practice. An MRI revealed the damage to Ndoye’s tendons and although surgery was not immediately required, both parties decided to have it corrected prior to the season.

Ndoye appeared in 30 games for MSU last season including six starts as a redshirt freshman. He averaged 2.1 points and 1.8 rebounds in 12.4 minutes per game.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
