Former Mississippi State and West Point wide receiver Michael Carr is concluding his collegiate career at Delta State.

The 6-foot-1, 209-pound former four-star prospect is listed as a senior for the Statesmen. Carr has not played since he was a sophomore at MSU during the 2011 season. He did participate in spring practice with the Bulldogs in 2013 but did not return to the roster the following fall.

Carr appeared in 18 games during his two seasons in Starkville catching 11 passes for 164 yards and a touchdown. He also carried five times for 47 yards and returned three kickoffs for 49 yards.

His lone touchdown was a 31-yard reception during the 2010 Gator Bowl.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
