Luke Reynolds‘ three-RBI night propelled Gray to a 3-1 win versus Maroon Tuesday night at Dudy Noble Field in the Diamond Dawgs’ first scrimmage of the fall. The exhibition lasted six innings.

Three Gray pitchers (Noah Hughes, Ethan Small and Blake Smith) combined to toss 5 2/3 scoreless frames, until a Brent Rooker solo home run broke up the shutout in the final frame.

Hughes took charge for Gray on the mound, tossing two shutout innings while striking out three.

Leading the way for the Maroon pitching staff was freshman Parker Ford, who went 2 1/3 innings while fanning three batters.
