Mississippi State’s women’s basketball team will have another one of its games televised during the upcoming season.

The Bulldogs trek to Texas on Dec. 2 has been picked up by the Longhorn Network. The contest is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff at the Frank C. Erwin Jr. Special Events Center in Austin.

It marks at least a dozen games State will be shown on TV during the 2015-16 season.

It will be the third time the preseason top 10 teams have met on the hardwood. MSU won the initial meeting 71-63 in the 2009 NCAA Tournament in Columbus, Ohio while Texas won the rematch the following year 73-55 as part of the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands.

Vic Schaefer and the Bulldogs begin practice on Oct. 6.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
