Mississippi State might be beginning the final stretch of the 2015 season but the Southeastern Conference released the Bulldogs slate of games for 2016 on Thursday.

MSU begins the 2016 campaign with back-to-back games in Starkville against South Alabama on Sept. 3 and opens SEC with South Carolina on Sept. 10.

The Bulldogs then trek to LSU on Sept. 17 and then Massachusetts to play UMass in Foxborough on Sept. 24 followed up by an open date.

State returns home Oct. 8 to host Auburn then is back out on the road the next two weeks traveling to BYU (Oct. 15) and Kentucky (Oct. 22). The Bulldogs close out October with its final non-conference tilt with Samford on the 29th.

Mississippi State continues that homestand against Texas A&M on Nov. 5 then travels down Highway 82 to Alabama on Nov. 12. The Bulldogs welcome Arkansas on Nov. 19 for their last home game then close out the regular season in the Egg Bowl against Ole Miss on Nov. 26.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
