Mississippi State will host Alabama Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and will be televised by CBS.

Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson and Allie LaForce will have the call in the Battle of Highway 82.

SEC Nation will also be on hand in The Junction for its pregame show on SEC Network from 9 to 11 a.m. featuring Joe Tessitore, Marcus Spears, Tim Tebow, Kaylee Hartung, Paul Finebaum and Greg McElroy.

The Bulldogs (7-2, 3-2 SEC) have won four straight games while Alabama (8-1, 5-1 SEC) is winners of six consecutive contests. MSU defeated Missouri 31-13 on the road Thursday while the Crimson Tide knocked off previously unbeaten LSU 30-16 in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.

Alabama has won the last seven meetings against the Bulldogs and lead the series 17-4 in Starkville and 78-18-3 overall. The Tide handed State its first loss last season, 25-20 in Tuscaloosa.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
