Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen has been identified as one of the candidates to fill the coaching vacancy at Miami.

ESPN’s Chris Low reported that the Hurricanes have already been in touch with Mullen. Mullen interviewed during Miami’s previous coaching search in 2010 as well.

The Hurricanes fired Al Golden on Oct. 25. Butch Jones, Greg Schiano and Mark Richt all have strong Miami ties and have also interviewed for the position according to ESPN.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
