Mississippi State added its second in-state commitment of the week as Callaway cornerback Emanuel Dabney joined the Bulldogs’ 2017 class on Thursday.
Dabney announced his decision via Twitter.
MSU was the first program to offer the Dabney on Monday.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder made 37 tackles, two for loss, three interceptions, seven pass deflections, recovered two fumbles and blocked a field goal for the Chargers. He returned one interception for a touchdown and also had a punt return for a score in 10 games this past season.
Dabney is the first high school commitment for the Bulldogs in 2017 joining junior college pledges Tommy Champion, Cameron Myers and Ravian Pierce. That class is ranked 18th nationally by 247Sports.com.
