Five Mississippi State players received recognition from Phil Steele on his All-American and All-Southeastern Conference teams.

Senior quarterback Dak Prescott was picked to both receiving a first team All-SEC nod and also earned a third team spot on the All-American squad. Prescott completed 66.9 percent of his passes for 3,413 yards, 25 touchdowns and four interceptions while also leading the team with 148 rushing attempts for 541 yards and 10 more scores.

first team All-SEC selection. Wilson caught 55 passes for 822 yards and led the team with nine touchdowns.

Junior wide receiver Fred Ross and junior kick returner Brandon Holloway each earned a spot on the All-SEC second team. Ross led the Bulldogs with 81 catches for 933 yards and four touchdowns while Holloway returned 21 kicks for 498 yards including a 100-yarder for a touchdown in the season opener against Southern Miss.

Rounding out Steele’s selections is junior linebacker Richie Brown, who was placed on the All-SEC third team. Brown

topped the team with 101 tackles and 5.5 sacks while also adding 12 stops for loss, two pass breakups and an interception.
