Mississippi State has agreed to meet Memphis on the gridiron once again.

MSU director of athletics Scott Stricklin made the announcement Thursday of a home-and-home series against Memphis during the 2021-22 seasons.

The Bulldogs will travel to Memphis on Sept. 18, 2021 and the Tigers will make the return trip to Starkville the following year on Sept. 24.

State leads the overall series 33-11 against Memphis and have won 12 straight over the Tigers since 1994. The Bulldogs claimed the last meeting 59-14 at Memphis to open the 2011 season.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
