Mississippi State’s game at BYU this fall has been moved up a day to Friday evening on Oct. 14.

A specific kickoff time has not been announced for the game in Provo, Utah but will be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2.

It will be the Bulldogs’ first Friday game since the 2008 Egg Bowl. The Cougars will make a return trip to Starkville on Oct. 14, 2017.

MSU has met BYU twice previously – winning 44-28 in Provo in 2000 and losing 41-38 the following year in Starkville.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
