Both Mississippi State and Ole Miss found its name among the Baseball America Preseason Top 25.

The Diamond Dogs are ranked 20th while the Rebels sit four spots below at No. 24.

It was MSU’s fourth preseason top 20 ranking coming it at No. 11 by Collegiate Baseball, No. 15 by D1Baseball.com and No. 17 by Perfect Game.

Ole Miss received votes but finished outside Collegiate Baseball’s Top 40.

The Bulldogs and Rebels were among seven SEC programs in the Baseball America preseason poll joining top-ranked Florida, No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 7 Vanderbilt, No. 11 LSU and No. 25 Kentucky.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
