Mississippi State’s Scott Stricklin was selected as the Under Armor Athletics Director of the Year Award from the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.

Stricklin is the first MSU AD to receive the honor and one of only five from the Southeastern Conference in the award’s history.

Mississippi State is an incredibly fun place to be because there are so many talented people who are passionate about this university and refuse to let our challenges prevent us from achieving greatness,” Stricklin said.

Since he became the Bulldogs’ director of atheltics in 2010, Stricklin has overseen expansion projects for the baseketball, football, softball, tennis and golf facilities and is currently working towards remodeling Dudy Noble Field for baseball.

Attendance, Bulldog Club membership and fundraising is at an all-time high under his watch.

Stricklin will be presented with the award on June 15 in Dallas, Texas.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
