Ware earns All-SEC honorable mention

Mississippi State’s Gavin Ware earned an honorable mention on the Associated Press All-SEC team on Monday.

The 6-foot-9, 260-pound forward from Starkville started 27 of 30 games for the Bulldogs this season. Ware led the team averaging 15.4 points and 7.8 rebounds while finishing second in the SEC shooting 61.4 percent from the field.

The AP All-SEC team features three five-man teams and three honorable mentions.

Kentucky sophomore guard Tyler Uils and LSU freshman forward Ben Simmons were unanimous first team selections. Ulis was the SEC Player of the Year while Simmons was named SEC Freshman of the Year.

Texas A&M’s Billy Kennedy was presented SEC Coach of the Year.
