Former Tupelo and Mississippi State defensive lineman P.J. Jones was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday.

The 23-year old was charged with possession of paraphernalia, disobeying a traffic control device, no proof of insurance and an expired tag. His bond was set at $2,000.

After graduating from Tupelo in 2011, Jones lettered four years at MSU where he started 27 out of 45 career games with 81 tackles, four for loss, two sacks and forced and recovered a fumble.

Jones concluded his career with the Bulldogs in 2014 and signed a free agent contract with the Miami Dolphins but was cut prior to the 2015 season.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
