Another NFL hopeful from Mississippi State has been arrested.
Former Bulldog and Houston High School defensive lineman Chris Jones was charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in Starkville on Wednesday afternoon.
Jones was pulled over for speeding along Blackjack Road at 2:22 p.m. and failed to produce a valid driver’s license. He was taken into custody and released on $922 bond.
The 6-foot-6, 310-pounder left the Bulldogs following his junior year to enter next month’s NFL Draft where he is projected as a second to third round selection and the No. 10 defensive tackle by CBS Sports.
Jones joins quarterback Dak Prescott, who was arrested for a DUI in Starkville last Saturday. Former Tupelo and MSU defensive tackle P.J. Jones was also arrested Wednesday in Lee County for drug paraphernalia, no proof of insurance and an expired tag.
